Every third weekend in September, Chattanooga Noise Night lets the ladies take charge. Women of Noise Fest, in conjunction with the collective Women of Noise, is a two-day privately curated festival held at Stove Works that showcases a diverse variety of female (and femme) noise and experimental musicians. All donations and merch sales go directly to travelling performers. Follow Women of Noise on Instagram for more information.
Between 1 - 3 times a year, Chattanooga Noise Night turns the reigns over to the tri-cities noise scene in Northeast TN/Southwest VA helmed by the area's premier label and tape distributor, Beyond Death Recordings. All artists for these showcases are hand-selected by BDR's founder, Alexander Yates, and most performers are local to their expansive noise scene. Follow Beyond Death Recordings on Instagram for future events and releases.
Ambient Night Chattanooga is Chattanooga Noise Night's new sister event, which occurs on the first Sunday of every month at The Reading Room Bar. All artists are curated by Amanda Haswell, a key figure in Chattanooga's local ambient and noise scene. Anything projects from the most mellow to the most dark and brooding are welcome. Please follow the official Ambient Night Chattanooga Instagram page for updates on future shows and events.
A few times a year, local noise, ambient, electronic, and otherwise experimental artists get together for some fun, food, and mischief sponsored by local imprint Psionic Sports. These events often have jovial themes and are adjacent to holidays and/or birthdays. Lineups are strictly privately curated, so you'll only hear about events via select notifications or simply through word of mouth. Look at it as Chattanooga noise's secret society of sonic horseplay.
